One chair, unhurried
Aura is a single-chair salon on Melrose Drive. One stylist, one calendar, and no double-booking — which means the hour you book is the hour you get, and the person who answers the phone is the person doing your hair.
That constraint shapes everything, including this website. A treatment that takes two and a half hours is offered as two and a half hours; if the day cannot hold it, the calendar says so rather than squeezing you into a gap and running late. Turnaround between clients is built into the booking rather than borrowed from it.
The work
Cutting and colour, with a bias toward the kind of colour you can grow out gracefully — balayage, gloss and toner work, half and full head highlights. Alongside it, brows and lashes, manicures and pedicures, and a small skin menu built around facials rather than gadgets.
Booking
Online, at any hour, with no account to create. Name, email and mobile is the whole of it, and the confirmation email carries a link to change or cancel the appointment yourself. Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before.
